We have to roll the dice global warming is a huge threat... Also we can build safer nuclear plants that reuse some of the waste.. And the amount created is nominal... We can not curb global warming without vastly expanded use of nuclear power (I am all for solar and wind but we desperately need nuclear energy as well..) When nuclear plants are closed they are replaced by coal and other fossil fuels.. By making this argument you are basically a climate denier..The argument for more nuclear power is not a profit based one nuclear energy is a bit more expensive but we need nuclear power as part of the climate warming solution.. If you were to advocate for the most profitable solution we would burn more coal.. Which is what Germany is doing now that they have closed down most of their nuclear plants.. Hopefully they will reverse this decision..
